Leave it to Mariah Carey to make an appearance at a the premier of a teen-dominated show. The songstress was on hand to help the cast of The Hills celebrate their season three premier, and stuck around for the after party.

We’re not denying that Mariah looks BETTER than some teenagers, we just find the appearance an odd pairing. However, in this picture it IS hard to tell who’s younger than who. And as much as we hate to say it - she’s probably not the worst-dressed gal in this photo.

We’re not sure what’s going on with Whitney’s outfit, but we’re pretty sure we don’t like it because it’s not balanced. A poofy skirt shouldn’t be met with a flowy, poofy top. There needs to be one sleek piece to balance it all out.

I love the vibrant yellow Audrina Patridge opted for, but there’s something throwing it off - is it the darkly-rimmed eyes? We know, we know, we’re nit-picking here, but this is The Hills premier here - and it kind of lends itself to catty behavior.
