We’re not usually the biggest of Katie Holmes fans - especially since her crazy (fake) marriage to Tom Cruise, and the fact that she got knocked up way to soon for a “normal” marriage. But our judgmental nature aside, girl looks top notch out doing some last minute Christmas shopping in West Hollywood. (Do Scientologists celebrate Christmas? Who knew?!)

I’m all for looking fab, but I’m always impressed when I see people walking around in sky-high heels while executing every day tasks. Of course, Katie could have had a car waiting for her a half a block away. But the way she put together this pseudo-Christmas outfit is worth excusing the fact that she can afford super expensive, super high pumps that are actually comfortable; and/or she has a driver waiting to pick her up.

The figure flattering top and skirt alone look kind of basic but paired with the simple gold chain and the fabulous red heels, it looks far more than basic. And she’s virtually matching her shoes and the bag she’s carrying. We still hate her a little bit.
