There’s no way to avoid the tabloid headlines - and pictures - surrounding France’s First Lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy and she and her husband’s visit to London. Yes, yes, she posed nude 15 years ago - but we also think it’s worth noting just how incredible she looks IN clothes, as well.

Well-educated and fluent in three languages, she’s more than just a pretty face, and once this brew-ha-ha subsides, we expect she’ll be on more than a few best-dressed lists. She must have had a team of image consultants working to help make her new title - as the First Lady - more believable, but at the same time there’s only so much grace, style and poise you can teach someone.

We suspect that beyond the tabloid debacle and beyond her husband’s playboy image is a girl who will always be demure and classy. Time will tell, but I’m definitely on team Carla!
