Bulgari Bursts into Tokyo -It’s possible that the new Bulgari store - opening today in the Ginza district of Tokyo - will come to attract the big names its sister store in Rome has done in years past. The Italian store was a destination for the golden children of the silver screen - names like Audrey Hepburn, Mel Ferrer, Sophia Loren, Ingrid Bergman and many, many others. Maybe that means we can expect Scarlett Johansson, Keira Knightley and Brad Pitt to walk through Bulgari’s Tokyo doors at any moment!

Versace in Russia - keeping with the theme of international fashion, Donatella Versace (who is a small screen star in her own rite - having made appearances on reality TV shows over the years) made a fashion pilgrimage to St. Petersburg this week, the site of Russia’s only Versace store. She praised Russian women, admitting the whole world envies their bodies, hair and skin, and adding, “Russians have started to learn that less bling is better, that more sophistication is in,” which doesn’t sound quite as flattering.

CK’s First Look party - it was a star-studded, drag-queen-performing, sports-star-infested event at the New Museum in New York on Wednesday. Londoner Thandie Newton (who said she flew in to the US just for the event) hosted with Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli of Calvin Klein, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Julianne Moore, Lance Armstrong, Ashley Olsen, Lake Bell, Ali Larter and Pharrell Williams.
