It was beginning to look like all play and no work for J.Lo, who spent a week overseas celebrating her hubby’s birthday, and spending time with Matthew McConaughey at Milan Fashion week. But this week, she’s back to work. Well, sort of - I guess as much “work” as any glam fashionista would be required to do.

She got girly and dolled up in a white summery frock (who says fall’s already arrived?!) funky shoes, big, diva hair and blazing red lipstick for the launch of her new fragrance, Deseo for Men at Macy’s in NYC.

Anne Hathaway has been in the spotlight lately thanks to ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri’s fraud scandal but this weekend was all about her. She made an appearance at the Cinema Society and Lancome’s screening of “Rachel Getting Married” wearing sky-high Marc Jacobs stilettos and managing to walk around in them somewhat gracefully! “They’re tranny shoes,” she quipped - “How do you think Lady Bunny does it?”
Gender roles aside, she did reveal how she deals with the stress in her life saying,

James Franco headed back to school at NYU to pursue his graduate degree, while juggling an active acting career. He may be dressed in the hipster college boy uniform of black tee, skinny jeans and retro sunglasses, but we’re guessing he stands out more than he fits in.
On the Hollywood side of things — he signed on to star in a biopic of Allen Ginsburg, and is in Nights in Rodanthe, with Richard Gere and Diane Lane, which hit theaters this weekend.

Paris Hilton graced The Late Show with her presence again this week, this time wearing an  absolutely gorgeous green dress by DvB to talk about her new show in which she searches for her new BFF.

I’ve always been kind of blah about Paris, her antics and her clothes, but this dress has me singing a different tune. Sure it helps that it’s in my absolute favorite color - kelly green - but the adorable cut and detailing are a perfect combination of wistful, feminine and demure.

It’s no secret- Victoria Beckham can just about do no fashion wrong in my book. Even when she showed up to the launch of her and David’s new fragrances in what we can only assume were thigh high, heel-less (that’s right, she’s standing on her tip toes!) latex boots.

It’s hard to tell exactly how high up they really go, since the dress covers them at the point of the mid-thigh.  She must get this stuff custom made - either that or she has a crazy knack for pulling off footwear from a fetish store.

Chrstina Aguilera showed up to a Rock the vote event in an amazing (and amazingly subdued) black dress. We love the turtleneck and white empire waist, and paired with a crop jacket and boots she manages to make it still look a little funky.

What we’re not so sure about is her latest hair style and makeup. The long, thin, straight hair and the thick bangs are less-than-flattering and her super-tan face with dark eyes and light lips just don’t seem to go together. Of course, Christina could pull off just about anything, but we miss her more vintage-y read more ....

Musician Katy Perry was a throw-back to the weird, controversial number Jennifer Lopez wore to an awards ceremony all those years ago in her odd, nightgown inspired dress (or was it an ACTUAL nightgown?)

I guess when your big breakthrough hit is “I Kissed a Girl,” you can’t expect too much in the way of class and to some people, I guess any publicity is good publicity, even if it comes in the way of a see-through kimono.

I am usually kind of tongue-in-cheek when it comes to celebs and their clothing lines. I tend to think, just because you made an album, or signed on for a TV show doesn’t mean you’re a fashion authority. But I’m putting all my snark aside for Rihanna’s new fashion line. The Jr. Diva confirmed it’s true - she WILL be lending her name and styling genius to a new label.

Claudia Schiffer was getting back to her German roots at the authentic, original Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. She even played the part, dress up in a traditional dirndl and looking every inch like she should be a beer wench in some pub. OK, maybe something a little classier than that, especially given the adorable shoes and the fact that the dress is the actual thing, not some slutty costume!
