She opts for black a lot but proves that that it doesn’t have to be boring - she knows how to add some attitude!

Gotta LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the bubblegum pink heels she’s wearing which make this look much more playful than if she’d let the dress speak for itself. Although we love the detailing and the unique pleated bottom, it’s always nice to see a splash of color and pimk goes great with black.

Anyone who can do this move at age 50 is clearly more than young at heart:

OK, we’re not saying it’s flattering, but it’s never-the-less impressive. The queen of pop’s latest tour kicked off this weekend, just days after the star turned 50. Hard to believe!
She wore a black leotard-style outfit designed by fashion house Givenchy and black, knee-length boots.

And you better believe the costume changes kept coming.
For the second song she performed, Madonna drove along the stage catwalk in a white car from which she emerged wearing a white top hat.

Michelle Williams’ Destiny’s Child days are over, and gone is her “girl-next-door” looks. The singer has re-vamped herself for her new album, Unexpected, starting with - what else - a short, updated, bob hairstyle. She’s also apparently gone through her wardrobe and updated all her looks, saying her new stylist “basically emptied my wardrobe and started from scratch. I’m not very good when it comes to dressing since I don’t really follow trends.”

Hard to believe that would be the case for one third of one of the biggest girl groups ever, but whether or not it’s true the makeover read more ....

Everything is almost all well and good in the head-on shot of this dress worn by Maria Sharapova.

And then you see the side view. Some people are raving about it, but I think it’s atrocious. We’ve been seeing a lot of grecian/toga-inspired one-shoulder dresses but this really takes it to another (bad) level.

And because the top of the dress is nude, you can’t tell that the sleeve is actually attached, and instead it looks like a really, really long black, finger-less glove. Because of this, I’m not sure this dress would work even if there were two read more ....

Not that we aren’t one of Rihanna’s biggest fans, but what is this outfit about?
Is that a crop top? At first it just looks like a tunic, but when she raises her arm it looks drastically shorter. And those are some CRAZY gladiator boots - not only do they seem like a lot of work to put on, they don’t seem comfortable, or girly and summery - which is the look the singer usually manages to nail.

Plus, she added some red highlights to her hair, and we’re not sure we’re loving it. Sure, she’ll read more ....

The list of celebrities expected to make an appearance at the political conventions next week continues to grow, making them - in a weird way - one of the years’ big social, fashion events, like New York Fashion Week, or the run-up to the Oscars. OK, OK, maybe we’re minimalizing  what the celebs actually do for their candidates, but I don’t think it would be wrong to say this is a huge “see and be seen” event. Should Sen. Barack Obama spend less time on the campaign trail and more time at … Wal-Mart?! Could the middle-America bastion of retail cheap be a predictor for the way of the nation in November? A recent poll by BIGresearch showed that, of 5,055 Wal-Mart shoppers surveyed, 41.4 percent said they would vote for Sen. John McCain while 33.3 percent favored Obama.

The percentage splits were similar for shoppers at Kohl’s and J.C. Penney, who also favored McCain.

However, McCain could perhaps benefit from some stops at higher-end stores like Macy’s and cheap-chic Target store parking lots, where he trails read more ....

Britney Spears landed another magazine cover, thanks to her recent slim-down and tone-up, and some bikini bod pics that proved she was getting back to her hot self.

She even says, “I’m the healthiest I’ve been all my life.” Which is evidenced in those photos as well as ones shot yesterday where she was taking advantage of wearing as much white as she could, ahead of Labor Day.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s recent bout with animal rights groups concerning her ad campaign for  Italian brand “Tod’s” that shows her wearing a fox fur and fur-lined boots could possibly be made better by one simple action: going clothes-less.

Gwyneth has been known to embrace a variety of holistic practices: yoga, vegetarian husband, and vegan designer, Stella McCartney — so would she be willing to join naked fur protesters?
