Nike is designing custom race suits for the U.S. athletes that will be headed to the Olympics next month, and now some more in-front-of-the-camera “celebs” will have a designer of their own.
Ports 1961 will be the “official” designer for NBC Universal, and will be creating the looks and outfits of the four femal commentators on NBC, MSNBC, CNBC and USA Network.
The creative director of the label says, “I wanted to do something in cooperation with the Olympics.” The New York-based brand is owned by Ports International, which has a strong presence in China.
