Elizabeth Hurley has been doing bikinis under her own name, Elizabeth Hurley Beach, for three years now; and this summer, she is diversifying with a diffusion line for Mango.

But even Liz admits that, ‘I now rely on nice photographers, and a bit of retouching.”

Star Search, American Idol, The Apprentice, Project Runway. Now there’s a new name to add the the list of these “compete-for-the-chance-to-work-with-someone-famous” shows: Sean John: Internship by Design. It debuted on MTV on Saturday and features four students competing to win an internship with Sean John. The students get to send models down the catwalk in their designs.

When I think “high fashion,” I don’t necessarily think “Jennifer Connelly.” Not that she’s not beautiful and sophisticated, she just typically stays out of the fashion limelight - and we’re not saying that’s an altogether bad thing! But all these things put together are perhaps the reasons why I was - I’ll admit - a little surprised to see her name alongside Balegencia.

This is the first time Balagencia designer, Nicolas Ghesquière, tapped a celebrity to be the face of the new Spring/Summer ad campaign. Maybe that was another reason why it stood out to me as an odd choice, read more ....

Avon’s hoping to snare a younger crowd. For me, Avon conjures up images of my Grandmother - who was an “Avon Lady” - giving my sister and I somewhat yucky-smelling lip glosses and lotions in our Christmas stockings. She meant well, but Avon was nothing compared to, say, Bonne Bell, when you’re a lip gloss wearing kid.

As if being the reigning queen in the world of pop music wasn’t enough, it seems Madonna is foraying into a very different genre. She’s created a “M-dolla” knuckle ring to wear on the cover of her new album, Hard Candy, which will be released on April 28th 2008.

Is being pregnant such a drag that they feel the need to camouflage their condition in the dagiest of dresses?

We recently saw Angelina Jolie at the Oscars wearing a dress that wouldn’t have looked out of place on the streets of Fallujah with her face hidden behind a Burqa. Then more recently in the dullest of grey dresses that could possibly have come from a K Mart sale rail.

Gwen Stefani is a lucky girl. First, she announced a new, very doll-like fragrance, inspired by her back up singers: Love, Angel, Music and Baby. Now, there’s word that she’ll be adding high-end bags to her roster of fashion creations. Mention Amy Winehouse and fashion is probably not the first thing that springs to mind. But strip away the drugs, the alcohol and the tabloid scandals relating to her relationship with her incarcerated Blake Fielder Civil and there lurks a fashion icon.
