Yes, yes, we’re already into Paris fashion week, but let’s pause for a minute to rewind to London fashion week. As we mentioned, Naomi Campbell wrapped up the week with a special show, Fashion for Relief, to raise awareness and relief money for the victims of the British floods. Yes, we want to point out that the fund sold seven dresses at the Fashion Week Finale - and raised $482,000 for the victims. But we also want to point out who was sitting in the front row (besides Elle MacPherson, Demi Moore, Princess Beatrice, and many others): Claudia Schiffer.

Except for her impressive resume, it’s hard to believe that this lovely lady is 37 years old. She’s also a mother, hard worker, and sought-after spokesmodel, but who’s counting? Her amazingly timeless and youthful - while also age appropriate - sense of style is (or should be!) the envy of women every where.
Claudia’s still pretty “super” - in spite of her recent statement that the supermodel is a dying breed: “Supermodels like we once were don’t exist any more. In order to become a supermodel one must be on all the covers all over the world at the same time so that people can recognise the girls. That is, for now, not possible, not least because the advertising industry is very much taken nowadays by popstars and actresses.”
Although she claims the culture is consumed with people other than supermodels, she’s managed to keep herself in the forefront of the public consciousness. This is in part due no doubt due to her continually wonderful fashion choices. She manages to temper trendy with classic, pulling of unique pieces that aren’t too over-the-top - whether she’s on the red carpet, picking up coffee, or going to lunch.

Sure she had that one bad red carpet choice (bows tied over your midriff? No thanks!) but she’s usually effortlessly chic.

Take, for example, the other red ensemble she wore recently. Or her classic and chic look at the launch for Shortlist Magazine. She chose to play up her shirt dress lace detailing with a black bow ribbon, as opposed to over-accessorizing with bigger baubles. Sure, she’s got a somewhat 70’s/hippy thing going on with her hair, but you’ve gotta give the woman credit: she’s wearing very little make up.
Of course, she could have chosen some accessories from her own line - that she says she’s been “very busy designing all the pieces” for, but we won’t hold her addition of “jewelry designer” to her resume, against her.
