Ok, we know. The Oscars’ red carpet - and pretty much any other red carpet event - are all about the dresses, the fashion hits and misses. But we’d like to pay homage to the couples that get it right. It’s not always easy to look good together, yet not come off looking too matchy-matchy.
Of course, these glam pairs get to hang out on the red carpet, so we don’t feel too bad for them!
Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis
I’m not usually a HUGE Maggie fan, but wow. This dress just jumped out at me and I can’t get over it! Sure, Peter Sarsgaard is wearing a somewhat basic black tux but the two together come off looking formal, put-together and all-around gorgeous!
James Bond has found his leading lady. Daniel Craig looks great with Satsuki Mitchell - they’ve got a somewhat classic look going on, and I almost thought Daniel was also just wearing a basic tux, but you’ve gotta love the skinny-legged pants with the slightly pointy-toed shoes!
Dark blue and black are one of the predominately winning looks this season - and on the carpet (as Maggie demonstrated). That’s probably why I love this couple’s outfits. Emily Blunt is sheathed in a unique fabric that’s sparkly without being sequined. And singer Michael Buble opted for the skinny tie tux which I think is still hip!
