It’s a rare occasion when a fashion critic such as myself can find nothing bad to say about virtually any of the red carpet pics from an event, but that was the case with the fashion choices made this week at the screening of Valentino: The Last Emperor at the Venice Film Festival.
The event brought out the likes of Claire Danes on the arm of Hugh Dancy, Charlize Theron, Elizabeth Hurley posing with Valentino, and Diane Kruger - but without Josh Jackson.

Each lovely lady lived up to her star status by showing off her fashion chops. We love all their choices, especially Diane Kruger’s one-shouldered number (those styles are super hot right now!) and Charlize - fresh off her amazing DNC ensemble - wowed in a stunning purple sheath with an embellished collar.

Guess everyone thinks Valentino IS an emperor of fashion!
