There was an element of embarrassment for the Spanish prime minister, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, as has two daughters, aged 16 and 13, arrived for a formal photo shoot dressed somewhat out of the norm for a head of state‘s children, wearing long black dresses, black boots and black eye shadow.

This caused a stir in the media both in his homeland and in the USA where the photos where taken and the images, which Spanish officials persuaded the state-owned Spanish news agency EFE not to distribute, did actually make it to the cover of several national Spanish newspapers, despite a law in Spain that states the head of state’s children can be kept out of the public eye.

And…..unlike the Obamas, the Spanish prime minister has always endeavored to keep his daughters hidden from the cameras.

But more embarrassing for the USA must be, what does it matter what two teenage girls are wearing when the First Lady, Michelle Obama, the wife of the US President Barack Obama, arrives wearing what appears to be the worn out old drapes from some southern mansion from Gone With The Wind, and once again showing her shot putting-esqu, bare arms!

The official photos, taken at the Museum of Modern Art where the Obamas were hosting a dinner, once again show that Mrs Obama has absolutely no fashion, hair or posture sense what so ever!

Maybe it’s Mrs Obama who needs to be kept out of the public eye!
