Susan Sarandon may be a great actress, but according to her daughter, she doesn’t have much of an eye for fashion - which isn’t hard to believe given some of the stylistic choices she’s made.

The list of celebrities expected to make an appearance at the political conventions next week continues to grow, making them - in a weird way - one of the years’ big social, fashion events, like New York Fashion Week, or the run-up to the Oscars. OK, OK, maybe we’re minimalizing  what the celebs actually do for their candidates, but I don’t think it would be wrong to say this is a huge “see and be seen” event.  If anyone things that tattoos can’t be a form of fashion or artistic expression, you might think again when you see the tattoo-inspired handbags created by Belgain artist Jean-Luc Moerman.

He’s famous for his tattoo-like renderings of shapes on photographs and collaborated with French fashion house Longchamp to design a limited edition anniversary collection.

Here’s something you don’t hear very often: A designer commenting on an item that can be worn between - and throughout the course of several - seasons. In a world where it seems like there’s a seasonal fashion week going on almost constantly, it’s good to know there are items that transcend this trend.

Diane Von Furstenberg praised the color block dress Susan Sarandon’s wore to Diane’s show saying although the look is smashing now, it will carry into fall. She did mention that different colors will be hotter this fall - like bronzes, teals and blacks.
